Noticed this chrysalis when searching the milkweed. When we went back to look it had just hatched and wings were still crumpled. All of a sudden it begang to pour hard so I cut the milkweed and brought it to my porch and watched it dry it's wings. Unfortunately the temperature was below 70 and rainy so it couldn't fly off. I put it in a cage till mid morning, a beautiful sunny day and warm. Put it on my flower in the garden and it flew off, came back off and on all day and the next to eat. So I believe I helped one survive
