First Monarch roost sighting of the year in Samuel Wilmot Nature Area.

I saw it 7 am this morning (August 31), it was reported last night (August 30, 2020). Lots of golden rod nearby and we have planted over 2000 wildflowers, milkweed and pollinators nearby.

The overnight temperature was 15C (59F) Not sure of the wind direction, but the monarchs were shielded all around by tall trees.
