We mainly see one adult guarding his territory. He will feed at our feeders & on some of the nearby flowers and then sit on one of the little branches on the small trees near the feeders/flowers. Then, when he sees the other hummingbird, he zips off & chases them away. (We've even seen him trying to chase off a small woodpecker, who also likes the sugar water in the feeder, and Monarch butterflies & small flies/bees.)
