The adult ruby-throated male is still appearing at one of the porch feeders at 6:20AM, and throughout the day, until 7:10PM.

The female and what appears to be a juvenile male are still with the adult ruby-throated male.

They always come together, and fly off together.

I enjoyed a total of 2 adult male ruby-throated, 1 female, and 1 juvenile male all summer. Not sure where the other adult male went to 3 wks ago.

There are no longer any flowers for them to nectar from. They have (3) feeders to choose from.

I wouldn't say they are on a feeding frenzy. They eat the same times of day, and what appears to be the same amount. I'm not filling the feeders more than usual.

I do a short sing-songy tune whenever I am outside, or on the porch. The 3 always appear within 1/2 min., or less, and dive and swoop and hover a few feet from me. So sweet . . .

I am so going to miss these beautiful little birds.

It has been a very dry summer. The coldest night time temperature, so far, has been 49F. Many days are still in the upper 70s - low 80s.
