At 11:20 AM, I netted and tagged (ABSW-250) a male monarch that was in my Waystation #4357. My friend (Larry) saw 6 at his house northwest of town between 9 and noon. I then took my 2 mile walk to the Post Office and counted 2. Larry called me later this evening with his observations of 8 more while bicycling around town early in the afternoon. Weather was 100% sunshine with the Wind W-15-25 mph gusting to 30 mph. Sustained winds were 16.1 mph in the afternoon. The Temperature topped out at 78F.
