This is year 2 of my hummingbird and butterfly garden. The flowers include: butterfly weed (orange in front), Bee Balm (red in front of the tree), multiple cone flowers, butterfly bush (back corner near wall), Swamp milkweed (back wall0, Allium drum sticks, Allium schubertii, Allium purple sensation, dianthus and lambs ear. Other features include a Butterfly house, water fountain, hummingbird feeder, nesting material, butterfly puddler, and butterfly feeder. I am gradually adding new flowers filling in some of the open spaces, and making sure there are flowers with blooms from spring to fall. I have seen bees, Ruby throated hummingbirds and Monarch butterflies in my garden; so if you build it - they will come.
