Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/04/2020

Number: 6

6 ruby throated hummers this evening. 3 females and 3 immature males (males identified with binoculars to identify individual throat markings). Lost the 3 adult males that had been here. Fun to watch the hummers foray for insects the last couple evenings. Right now it seems nectaring on flowers is much greater than on feeders. I think at least 2 of the immature males are new migratory arrivals.
