Our huge patch of 50+ common milkweed plants has died off as of last week, but tropical milkweed we started from seed yielded dozens of 1 foot tall plants, so 3 monarch caterpillars are feasting on them. Sightings of adult monarchs are almost daily on our many Mexican sunflower plants that are 4-5' high in full sun.
