I was glad finally to see some Hummingbirds because I had not seen any all summer. A few came through in the spring so I was happy thinking I'd have a "good Hummingbird year" but then I saw none. Others in the town I live in said they had only seen one or two. Two years ago I had so many I couldn't count, then we had a very hard winter last year and a lot of snow and flooding. Last year I didn't see many either. I thought maybe they avoided this area due to the harsh environment? But, finally this week I am seeing them at my feeders regularly. Now there are enough they are fighting over the feeders :)
