Saw 3 caterpillars and one chrysalis. The caterpillars were in different stages of growth. We have probably 1/8 acre of common milkweed in our Monarch Waystation. Overall a disappointing butterfly season very few monarchs passing through. Few fritillaries and swallowtail as well this summer. Maybe the 2 overly wet winters in a row had a negative effect on the fritillaries and swallowtails.
