Sightings report image

Date: 09/08/2020

Number: 21

Fall is arriving in the forest, 52 degrees today, overcast sky with mist, rain and breeze ranging from 10-15 mph.

Our little girl hummingbird guests--21 today, are enjoying an extravaganza of flowers, salvia, lantana, cananas, turtle heads, impatients, zinnias, phlox, petunias.

Playing amongst the flowers and resting in the dogwood trees, pines, tall oaks and near our windows on the tall, small branches by their feeders, under the eves.

Red flags are also flying in the habitat as a way to welcome migrating Hummers to our floral smorgasbords.

Guests and delivery people are amazed commenting "There are hummingbirds everywhere :) "
