I saw 2 monarchs on my 2 mile walk today. One was flying west very high overhead at Jackson & 4th Streets at 1:18 PM, and the other was on the 3rd Street walkway in town at 1:40 PM. It was nectaring on a mint plant flower as I tried to net and tag it, but it went in and out my net! It headed up overhead and went south. My friend (Larry) saw 5 monarchs between 7 & 11 AM; 4 on the north boundary of town, and the other in town. He said they were flying south high and low. Weather was a low cloud cover with mist at times. The Wind was NE-10-20 mph with the Temperature topping out at 59F.
