Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/09/2020

Number: 3

We have three feeder zones with (5, 5, and 4 feeders) set up to be shielded from each other. It was 46F in the morning, so I made sure to have at least two pre-warmed feeders in each zone before sunrise. We were rewarded with constant hummingbird action. It's hard to know how many birds we have, because we can't see all areas at once any more than the hummingbirds can, but there were generally two in front of the house, and one in the back corner of the yard and/or on the side. There was a lot of chasing, especially around one set of feeders. We could have frost tonight, but since we're directly in the city near a lake, I think we'll be spared.
