15 wet sub/and adult male mixed rubythroats in rain early a.m. Going to wet dropping Hamelia, porterweed,
Mexican honeysuckle. Black & blue sage, Loves & wishes in pergola area.
You can see fried lotus leaves in photo background from a very long heat index summer.
One Rufous sits out on twig of Pride of Barbados zooming in to fight others off Hamelia. He also fights off my chicadees, grey titmouse.
We get 4 or 5 sub adults at a time chasing under pergola where feeders are hung
Something to experience for sure.
