J-caterpillar hanging on gas pipe under the vinyl siding. Nearest common milkweed is over 20 feet away. Note the pic has the 1 of 4 chrysalides that have are attached to the bottom edges of the vinyl siding. West side of the house. At this time of the year minimal direct sunlight. A few others emerged without problem during the middle of the summer.
