Found a spot where there's about a dozen very small young (6-8") milkweed to feed my 8 larvae. Larvae age range: 3 are 3rd instars and 5 are 4th instars. At any rate, a monarch flew right past me at the milkweed patch. It was heading into a stiff head wind from the south.
