8 ruby throated hummers were still here today. Saw 4 most of the day but a squabble of a group of 2, and a group of 3 and a chase by 2 more later in the evening all at once plus one that was perched that didn't join the fray upped the count to 8. I think there is a juvenile or small female that seems to have a real sense of urgency because I think it is same individual that leaves the yard last. Tonight it left at 7:35 which was 2 minutes later than last night. It really takes advantage of every minute of daylight to take in nectar.
