Went to Eden Cemetery around sunset, 7.30 pm, to check on monarchs. Only counted 7 arriving from the northwest and finding spots to rest for the night. This time they stayed in the conifer treetops on the north side, due to light 7mph south wind. Also I think the pile of tree debris that was still burning from derecho cleanup on the south side of the cemetery probably kept monarchs from coming here again. Hazy sky due to Calif. wildfire smoke as well, temp. reached high of 82 today.
