Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/16/2020

Number: 2

Two new chrysalises in our garden in the past 2-3 days. Now the total we can see is 3 chrysalises. Praying that the rains from hurricane/tropical storm Sally don't affect them. One is camoflaged and supported by an okra plant. One is in one of the grids of the bird netting around our garden fence. The third one is suspended on a PVC garden row cover hoop. We had to cover the bed to protect from the storm, so had to cover the chrysalis inside the row cover. Hope it will be OK. We'll remove the row cover right away as soon as the rain becomes less heavy, supposed to be Thursday evening.
