We just got out of our vehicles in the parking lot next to Erie County Forest when we all saw the big beautiful monarch sailing around the lot, in search of nectar flowers. None were there but there was plenty of golden rod growing around the edges of the woods, asters too!

This hiking woodland is between the towns of Sardinia and Springville.

It was a balmy day with temperature expected to reach 70 degrees F.

The only downside, the blue sky was covered with the smoke from the West Coast historic mega wildfires.
