I checked the goldenrod/aster field across the road from my property to see if monarchs are about fueling up. This a favorite of the monarchs, especially last year.

I have seen up to two this year in this hill field.

On this day I saw none at the time I checked. Late afternoon, sunny close to 60 degrees. Clouds and sun.

I will continue to monitor this field.
