Bald Eagle
Sightings report image

Date: 09/14/2020

Number: 1

A pair of Bald Eagles were at the carcass of a Canada Goose which died near our dock. The one in the picture tried in vain to carry it away but it was too heavy and managed to only drag it along the water for a few minutes..hence this eagle was very wet trying. The carcass floated back to shore where 3 eagles visited it until an immature eagle finally did drag it to an island across from me.
