I have two monarch caterpillars that are in chrysalis stage. I had put them in a cage outdoors as caterpillars. 09/16 is the day they changed into chrysalis.

It is very chilly here at night. Temps are going into the 40's. Should I put a blanket over the butterfly cage. (its a pop up cage)

I heard that temperatures will impact the time it takes for the butterfly to appear. Any idea on number of days?
