Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 09/20/2020

Number: 2

There were at least two hummingbirds at a second-floor windowbox with five sugar water feeders, a butterfly feeder with fruit flies, and a patch of red bedding salvia and assorted plants that grew from fallen birdseed, including a brassica and many sunflowers.

The hummingbirds were nectaring on the red salvia and the little yellow flowers of the brassica (the same sort of flowers seen on broccoli that goes to seed).
