This little juvenile male was stretching and preening after nectaring on hot lips salvia and my tube feeders. Weather has turned cooler...sunny and 47 degrees this am. Still have about three here. Im gonna enjoy these next couple of weeks...cuz in the wink of an eye they will be gone. Hummingbird withdrawal is tough....especially after seeing, non stop, all the aerial displays of their feeding frenzy and their constant chasing of one another. When they no longer grace our gardens...there will be sadness in the stillness they leave behind. God speed little ones on a safe migration.
