Two of our last 5 chrysalises eclosed today. Both monarchs flew off into the gradually warming afternoon.

We gather eggs and cats from our garden milkweed and keep them in a net enclosure on our patio. We had a smaller than usual "batch" this year--just 10 for the whole season after dozens last year.
