82 degrees at 6:17pm. A warm sunny day. A fresh looking Monarch showed up about 2pm and is now camping out in a tree. I couldn't get close enough to see if it was a male but it acted like a male during the breeding season. Skipping from place to place buzzing all over the yard, barely feeding. It ran across the only other butterfly in the yard, a cabbage white, and promptly ran it off.
