At 10:36 AM, I saw a monarch flying high over my backyard heading due south. I then took my 2 mile walk and observed another 5 monarchs. One was on a dandelion flower on the 3rd Street walkway in town; 3 were nectaring on a purple flowered butterfly shrub at 1st and Church Streets in town, and a male monarch was seen nectaring on a Burr Marigold Flower at the harbor. My walk ended at 2:45 PM. I did not see any more monarchs at my house to 7 PM. My friend (Larry) and his sister were at the beach along Lake Huron at Harrisville State Park and had no monarchs appear between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM. Weather was 100% sunshine with the Wind ESE-10 mph. The Temperature topped out at 64F.
