The solo female that has continued with us this week may not be one of my familiar females, as she is somewhat skittish. Her behavior today is interesting -- frequent trips to the feeder, but she seems distracted and breaks off to nectar on our salvia frequently, then back to the feeder. One can sense the imminent nature of a departure south.
