I was shocked and amazed to see a female hovering over my deck rail last minute feeder. I went out to try to clear the hornets off it when I realized that there was a female hummer getting ready to sip. I think we scared each other! She flew across the yard to my original feeder place and wasn't in a hurry. When she left I came inside to tell my friend and came outside again-- she was at the deck feeder, unfazed by the hornets. I was about 5 inches away from her talking to her. She was unfazed. She finished and left.

Well... not quite. As I was typing she's been buzzing around the yard, the feeders, me... Quite a display. That was about 15 minutes of a visit.

I will never be without my phone again!
