3 5th instars seemed to spring like mushrooms from a couple of milkweed curassavica plants that hadn't seemed to have any inhabitants til yesterday. Just goes to show ya, even if you don't see them that doesn't mean they're not there.

One of the backyard caterpillars suddenly died. Deflated, partially black where it shouldn't be, pretty ugly.
