September 24-25, I observed no monarchs on my 2 mile walks. The last two days have been very windy with gusts to 25 mph from the Southeast on both days under hazy and overcast skies. The Temperatures were in the upper 60's. Today, I thought the same would happen again. But the Wind was SW-10-20 mph under cloudy conditions until 2 PM when the sun appeared. I took my 2 mile hike and found one monarch nectaring on a goldenrod flower at 4th and Jackson Streets at 3:10 PM. My friend (Larry) has not seen a monarch for three days, so I consider myself lucky.
