I took my 2 mile walk today at 4 PM when the sun finally came out, and I netted and tagged (ABSW-269) a male monarch at 4th and Jackson Streets. I saw no more monarchs to 5 PM when heavy and dark clouds moved in. However, on my way home, a friend on 2nd Street said he saw one in his flower garden about 1 PM. Weather was cloudy and damp in the AM. The sun made a brief appearance from 4 to 5 PM before becoming very dark with low clouds. Winds were from the SW at 20 mph in the AM, and then SE-9 mph in the PM. The Temperature topped out at 76F.
