Daytime high 17�-mostly cloudy
16�the hour before 7:14 sunset. Partly cloudy. SW wind @ 20-30 kmh.
No clusters were observed in their usual locations closer to the Tip. Overnight low forecast 10�. Strong Southerly wind tomorrow. Likely why they are more north of the Tip & are 60-70' up in Hackberry trees & on cascading vines of Virginia Creeper. A few clusters of 4 & 5 & also individuals nearby. All on NE area of tree/vines.
One observed with bent wing.
Cooler days of 10-12� in forecast & overnight lows of around 5�c before warming next week.
Note-report by one person of about 150 monarchs flitting about in the morning & another person at the Tip reporting about a dozen between 10am & 12pm. Accuracy is likely somewhere in between. A few seen attempting to cross the lake in 21-34kmh SW wind.
