It's been a week since this sighting and not so much as a feather has been seen since. The last "locals" had left a bit less than a week before this female appeared. She only came to the feeder once so she was clearly passing through from up north and in a hurry. The days are in the 60's and nights in the 40's, leaves are falling and flowers are scarce. My latest straggler was on the 27th in 2019, but it's usually much earlier. Till next spring!
