Large Monarch observed nectaring at wild aster on 9/28, possibly one of five (outdoor conditions-reared) eclosed and released here on 9/27. Five more released on 9/28 and 9/30. All from eggs laid August 16 on ten tiny milkweed shoots in mowed path through field of milkweed and grasses. Photo shows one of them near the path where the project was initiated. Wild adults also were seen at the path, one on 9/11, as previously reported, and two on 9/19.
