I counted 12 in a thirty minute period

All sightings happened between 12:40 and 1:05 pm. The monarchs were all doing exactly the same thing. Flying between 4 and 10 feet above the ground and generally on a compass heading of 225-250 degrees. They came straight across the parking lot and then gained height to fly over either the school or the football stadium. They were definitely on a mission and didn’t stop for anything.
