juvenile or female feeding at the feeders. It may be one of the two that have been here all summer still here. She fed at one preferred feeder and sped up to the same branch to rest as my resident juveniles have all summer. Also, she chased off other birds that came anywhere near the feeder, even by accident. Could be a different hummer, but the activity is the same. I can't remember ever having a hummingbird still hanging around in October before. I hope she heads out soon.
