Still have two young birds here feeding on Zinnias and Firecracker Penstemon and chasing bigger birds around. My theory is these are late brood birds from my area, still too young and weak to make the trip South. Every year I have at least one that stays till the middle of October.Cold last night 35, but they are getting fatter.
