One male and one female monarch that were raised outside in mesh cages eclosed and were released on 9/29/2020. When the male caterpillar started pupating, he was about half the size of other caterpillars at that stage, and I didn't think he was going to survive. He was a small but strong butterfly. When we released him, he flew higher and further than any other butterfly we released.
