Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 10/04/2020

Number: 1

Seen at 5:30pm feeding on the salvia in our garden.

My husband was outdoors on this chilly afternoon prepping the grill. He looked over at our gardens and saw a hummingbird flying up to an empty branch at a nearby oak. We call it the "basement" because hummingbirds would perch there all season. I grabbed my camera and of course the clouds moved in. I managed to get this shot before about a dozen turkeys walked underneath it and it moved to a higher branch.
