Males were here up until 09/28/2020 mostly feeding at my feeders. My bottle brush was just starting to bloom after Hurricane Laura. The females seemed to profit the most from the bottle brush since they arrived later than the males. Saturday 10/03/2020 we found an injured female in our grass. I watched another female fighting her at a feeder, not realizing she had a wing injury until about a half an hour later. She is now in Lafayette,LA at a bird rehabilitation facility that was found on the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries website.
