One very plump female hummingbird sighted drinking at our one feeder that sits back out of the wind and is protected overhead by big leafed tree. She spent about two minutes drinking and resting before flying upward through the nearby tree. Assume she continued on her southward journey as no further sighting was seen. Time of sighting was 12:39 in the afternoon. Temperature was 50 degrees with winds out of the NW at 2mph under cloudy skies and a light drizzle, following overnight rains. High temperature is expected to be near 60 degrees falling off to a low overnight of 34 degrees. As always, we reset leaving our feeders hanging and fresh for two more weeks from this latest last sighting.
