Found four monarch caterpillars on milkweed in our garden on Saturday October 3rd. We were shocked, have never found them this late in the year. Poor things went though two frost advisories. We bought them in and found some good milkweed from our butterfly gardens for them to munch on. Fingers crossed that they will pupate and encore s healthy strong butterfly. Will need some warm-ish temps for the butterfies to fly south in mid-month.
