Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 10/05/2020

Number: 2000

I was traveling through Ozona, Texas. The city Square was covered with Monarchs. Some were flitting around, others were in the grass, on trees.

Driving up from Juno on Highway 63, you never went more than 100 yards without seeing singles, pairs, or a few more. I see why highways are detrimental to the butterflies.

Drove from Ozona toward San Antonio... multiple butterflies seen until about Kerrville.

There was a large migration of what appeared to be some type of small butterfly... possibly buckeyes.... They lasted for over a hundred miles crossing IH10.
