There were at least 30 Monarchs that we saw flying in from over the water - we assumed they were flying from neighboring Hilton Head Island, SC (the direction they were coming from). We were on the beach from about 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and they were coming in one at a time all day long. It was amazing because all of a sudden they appeared.
