At 2:15 to 2:30, 3 monarchs were sighted flying between Phlox glaberrima ssp. interior, Symphyotrichum novae-angliae, and Liatris scariosa neuilandii and nectaring on all. The temperature was 78 with a 3 mph S wind. By 4:30 to 4:45, only 1 monarch remained nectaring on Symphyotrichum novae-angliae. The temperature was 80 with a 2 mph SSE wind. The captive reared monarchs released today were not released until after the last observation.
