Today is first day Monarchs have nectared on Mexican Bush Sage. The fully-bloomed sage has been popular with monarchs and bees.
It's windy; 96F with 9% humidity today. One monarch is resting on blue mist after arriving mid-afternoon with a chunk of missing wing and a prayer. Not sure whether it will stay and roost or continue south.
