We have 2 Rufous. Just figured that's what we have had since
last week of September. 4 adults were first. Tiny first year 1 male, 1female now. I think rubythroats are about done. If you get any hummingbirds study the behavior. Little Rufous ones don't have much orange, especially females that have more white fronts. They chase sparrows/cardinals.
These 2 play in circles at each other in desert willow tree 8 a.m everyday after nectcaring on Hamelia.
They charge into one feeder on west side of house briefly during day. Stay up high in oak tree. It's hot for them in 90's
