Counted 13 per minute flying west.

It was around 10 in the morning and I was on the Bay side beach of the Surf and Sand Hotel at Pensacola Beach, just a light breeze to the west. I counted for 2 minutes and came up with 26 after I had been seeing a steady stream of butterflies flying by. I was at that location for about an hour. Their height was from ground to 10 to 15 feet above ground level sometimes in pairs.

Later in the day we were at the beach about 5 miles to the west, still seeing occasional butterflies passing by to the west. I happened to find one in the sand that didn't make it and looked closer at it to see the markings. It was clearly a Fritillary, having black spots on the upper side and white spots on the underside.
